Thoughts from The Farmer’s Trophy Wife…
Hellooo!!! Ok…first off…who am I!?
I’m Cathryn Hagel a.k.a “The Farmer’s Trophy Wife”, a self-proclaimed title that I’ve coined to describe my life and my personality.
Of course, a lot of people may wonder about the “trophy wife” part and my explanation is that it’s tongue in cheek. I mean really, what farmer wants (or has time for?!) a high maintenance bunny? Rather, it’s more a way to describe that I’m the type of farm-wife who will be out there running the vaccinating gun at a branding and working the Chanel lip gloss at the same time. And under my toque (our US friends may refer to these as toboggans or beanies!) in –32C, my eyebrows are plucked and groomed within an inch of their life!
Basically, I’m a farmer’s wife who self-maintains; I like the fancy, glittery things and break them out while living my life on the farm. And I’m here to let you in on my life…stories from our crazy day-to-day operations on our cattle/grain farm, to offer bits and pieces of my fabulous findings along the way (like who sells my FAVORITE boots or what shades of Chanel lip gloss are fab), and I’ll also throw out fantastic advice that I’ve collected along the way or have had passed down to me from generations of equally fabulous women in my life.
My blog is going to cover anything and everything, such as fashion (what’s the latest in western mixed with Hollywood), home décor (where to find the hottest must haves and what is fabulously unique), tools and tricks of farm life, kids, food…you name it, I generally have an idea or opinion on it!!
I’m looking forward to sharing all this with you and also am really excited to hear what you’ve got to say, you fabulous farm-wives you!!
