Cowgirl Bling

Okay here goes my first Blog…….thanks to my great friend Robyn for the opportunity to share. And the inspiration from my friend Cathryn aka The Farmers Trophy Wife….here it goes.

So as Cathryn so kindly wrote about earlier in her blog entry “Oh My…“, I own a company called Cowgirl Bling (www.cowgirlbling.ca). Its an online boutique I started about 5 months ago.

I live with my husband and two beautiful sons west of Pigeon Lake, Alberta. A little town called Winfield. We live on our 80 acres with my Arabian show horses, ranch horses, my husbands Buckin bulls, our 2 dogs, cat and a large number of coyotes, moose and whatever else decides to stop by. My boys, Ryley 4 1/2 years and Colby 2 in April keep me very busy.

As every other woman in the world I LOVE FASHION. More specific all things Blingy.

I started to make my western necklaces for myself. I was spending a lot of money on them so decided to try my hand at it. To my surprise I have a pretty good talent!!!

Now that I am showing western pleasure I wanted some Bling belts to wear with my show clothes……but I did not just want one! I wanted a few to match different outfits.

But as I was to discover, they are pretty darn expensive in the stores around here. And so as the request for my necklaces grew very large, I decided to add affordable products to my accessories line. Including belts, little cowgirl belts, flip flops, dog collars, purses, wallets, jewelery and more. Plus more is being added all the time. This is how Cowgirl Bling was to come about.

I have had a huge success with my online boutique, trade shows and the Facebook page. I also had a few people ask me to do home parties and bring my products to their homes to shop with their girlfriends and perhaps over a bottle of wine or two. It was not my intention to do home parties. But to my surprise ,everyone seems to want them and they are sooooo much fun. I love being invited into the homes of these Sassy, Classy, Modern Cowgirls (my catch line).
