My favorite time of year…
It’s my favorite time of year…grass is green, trees are budding, calving is (almost!) over and it’s time for BRANDING!!
I have great childhood memories of branding…
- having to hold the nut bucket and getting them thrown at me (yucky!)
- being old enough to vaccinate (feeling like a grown-up)
- and getting to visit with lots of friends and family.
The memories are fantastic…but what I wouldn’t give for some photos like these…
I LOVE!
Wouldn’t these be absolutely stunning above a fireplace? Or in the entry way? Or the branding pot photo in your kitchen!? And if it was your friends and family in the images?! I would love to have captured those nut throwing moments for posterity!
