Boot & Bra Purse

June 26th, 2010 :: 8:46 am

I am an avid “crafter” and am always looking for new ideas!

So I have been poking around online looking for my next easy project. I am partial to making things that I see results fast and finish the day I pretty much start! I visited my sister Robyn last weekend and she showed me her collection of old jeans, that she wanted to possibly make a rag quilt out of! They are so fun with denim but I have found with making them; it is way easier to go buy the denim and cut the squares, versus trying to salvage the legs to make the proper sized squares for the quilts. So… I looked into some other options that are fun with old jeans… just an idea Robyn! ; )

I went onto the website www.craftbits.com and came up with these fun purses that are so simple and don’t even take sewing!

Blue Jeans Denim Bootie Bag Purse

All that is needed is…

  • 1 Old pair of jeans
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun (if gluing)
  • Glue sticks (if gluing)
  • Optional embellishments

I also found another cool idea with an old bra! I know for me by the time i retire a bra, they are pretty ratty…. but I may try and save one a little sooner and try this!! haha

This Bra Purse was also on the www.craftbits.com website:

Materials:
  • Old bra
  • Ribbons & fringing
  • Hot glue or craft glue
  • Scissors

These purses are so rustic and fun!
