Here we go with…
Outfit Numero 2
From the top: Forever 21 blouse, turquoise Fossil handbag, Miss Me skinny jeans, Aldo boots
What I love about it:
- It’s such a pretty, feminine top that again camouflages hips (are you getting an idea of my problem area?) but still creates a long, lean silhouette with the skinny jeans and heeled boots.
- The slouch-factor to the boots balances the top half, and they still have a western look to them without being “cowboy boots”.
- The punch of colour in the handbag takes the outfit from blending in to popping, and you could really do any colour bag here.
A note about skinny jeans for us “mature” ladies: You don’t have to be afraid of this trend – the right skinny jeans (made for mature bodies) can really slim legs when combined with a longer, flowy top and high boots. Try it!

Wow! Love this! Do you think you could take on a little side job of being a personal shopper/style God? I’m honestly terrified of trying the skinny jean look so I always shy away from it. I guess I’ve always felt that my hips and thighs just aren’t built for skinny jeans, but I’m thinking I should give it a try after reading this post?
