Home away from home
So, I am sitting here at our home away from home trailer that my husband Craig lives in while he works away, laughing a our trailer style! I am outside reading a few Copper West blogs and looked at our trailer and had to chuckle…
We are in Hinton, AB right now, where my husband has welded for Alstar Oilfield for the most of the past year. Sloan and I travel back and forth to stay with him year round and obviously bring a bit to laugh at! We are lucky to have bought a trailer that works perfect for us to live in at work or while camping… although camping isn’t as novel especially for my husband, when you have lived in the camper! lol
As I look at our house I realize how funny it is that we have a garbage bag over the bottom bunk window taped with duct tape to hold it up an avoid our son Sloan from peeking out while he is supposed to be napping! It is quite a sight to be sitting outside and look over to him pulling the curtains up and banging on the window, because he doesn’t want to miss the action! lol
We have our little dog Austin pegged on the little chunk of grass, because he likes to explore and he is used to running around the farm leash free!
Last night I had an explosion of the sewer hose… everyone else seems to have nice ramps and such to guide their sewer down the hose and ours of course has to make the rough terrain trip because we don’t carry such things, or obviously care to!! I saw a small leak and tried to fix and all he## broke loose onto the neighbors area! There I was screaming to Craig that we have a mess running all over! I am sure we had other fellow RV’ers staring out their windows wondering what was going on!
We truly are trailer redneck people at home and in the RV parks obviously! But hey, I guess we are lucky we can laugh at ourselves along with others!
This truly is our home away from home!
