As a domestic goddess in training, for some reason I am so drawn to this magazine! I love the beautiful pictures, tasty southern cooking recipes and crafty ideas. I’ve seen it a few times before, as my Texas hubby’s cousins subscribe and gifted us with a Southern Living cookbook.

When my son Braxton arrived – I still couldn’t find anything I LOVED to decorate his room with. Well, I ended up getting a bit crafty one day! I had a few different size stars around that were various colors and textures. I also had a few crosses that were wood and iron. I had a painting frenzy…

Then I went on a hunt for baby bedding to compliment my new decor and color scheme (lime green & turquoise)! I remembered reading a couple awesome posts on my friend Crystal Cattle‘s website about Purple Banner Designs.

I contacted Bethany (the owner & creative mind behind the business) to see whether she would be interested in making custom nursery bedding and I was thrilled that she was up for the challenge!!

We absolutely LOVE what Bethany designed. Check out her recent blog entry featuring images of Braxton’s room.

This past July when I was walking through the Calgary Stampede Western Art Oasis. I picked up my pace walking (nearly a trot) towards an amazingly colorful display! It was Julia Lucich‘s booth that had caught my eye.

I love the piglets! One day, I would love to have a bright colored kitchen with this painting on my wall. Or maybe for a baby room!

Then I discovered this neat artist, John Nieto, on the Cowboys & Indians website!

I really love cows – as a ranch girl that was raised on a purebred cattle ranch, I’m always on the hunt for pictures of authentic beef cattle. If you look – you will find! I found this Angus appearing cow painting by Marion Rose. I LOVE it!

I fell in LOVE with Maverick Fine Western Wear – it was like walking into an issue of the Cowboys & Indians magazine. Right outside the door – they had this gorgeous window display:

Honestly, this picture doesn’t do justice to how gorgeous it was! It featured at least 12 Consuela Cuadra’s. Right inside their front door was an amazing display of Consuela products!! I blogged about them last year but this was my first time seeing any of the collection in person.

I was wishing my pocket book was bigger because I would have went on a shopping spree! Instead of pouting, as a new Mom on my frugal budget, I got inspired.

I’m making my own Cuadra’s!

I have a long ways from making them look like Consuela’s, but I think mine will have their own authentic “Robyn” touch!

Which is your favorite of the Consuela Cuadras collection (in the picture above)?

I love the one that’s in the second row, third one in with the orange and turquoise flowers!

Having a home based office where I work as a Mortgage Associate is a dream come true for me. I have watched my Sister/Best Friend Patricia build her business over the past 7 years and I am so excited to be on her team.

Nolan, Kashton and I live the “Country Life” where we have our Horses & Cats. Also just up the road from us is our Grandmother, then just a little further Patricia & her Family. Living so close to Family is great.

In our spare time we enjoy horse back riding, working on our Farm & Camping! In the summer months, were sure to be gone every weekend in our ‘home on wheels’!

As well in my spare time I have a true passion for Scrapbooking. To date I have completed over 40 albums of various trips, holidays & all my fond memories. Just call me the camera girl, its always in my purse so I am able to capture every moment of my Sons life & all experiences I go through. Also very proud to admit I make & sell Greeting Cards!

Our home is filled with western inspired decor. I have my themed rooms: bathroom is full of crosses, living room is running horses & our kitchen is covered in stars! If I find decor that would match, I buy it and figure out a space for it (I keep telling my husband I am going to need more walls, hehe).

I am honored to be a blogger on such and amazing site as Copper West. I have enjoyed the site since it first launched. Also I am a beginner at “blogging”, so please pass on any tips you may have for me. I can always learn more!

Niki Flundra is one of the most talented individuals I know! She is arguably the top trick rider in the world – engaging crowds all across North America; making multiple appearances at the National Finals Rodeo. Niki also trains her own liberty horses and entertains with them! I encourage you to explore her Cowgirlin’ Up website!

I’m honored to call Niki a friend and am always in complete awe at what she accomplishes. This summer Niki is being showcased in the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show! Volte is the name of this year’s production and I really hope to take in a performance.

Did I mention that she JUST had a baby 3 months ago? The two of us were due just a couple days apart! Niki is amazing for jumping back into her tight outfits and being flexible enough to do her moves just a couple months after Ridge’s arrival. Congrats on adding this new event to your resume!
